Nat recently has led the design and turnkey construction of Iona Prep’s Chemistry & Biology Labs in New Rochelle (NY), Academy of Holy Angels\’ Chemistry Classroom in Demarest (NJ), Union Catholic High School’s Chemistry and Physics labs in Scotch Plains (NJ), and in Bardonia (NY) the Chemistry Lab at Albertus Magnus High School.

In addition, Longo’s laboratory design team is involved with the space planning of science classrooms at John Hill Middle School in Booton (NJ), new chemistry classrooms for Blue Hills Regional Tech School in Canton (MA), and the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole (MA).

Durcon Laboratory Tops has just introduced a new epoxy resin worksurfaced that incorporates recycled materials.  The top composition contains no less than 10% post consumer recycled content and may contribute to certain LEED credits. This pioneering nonporous laboratory product has heat and chemical resistance levels comparable to epoxy resin.

Some key points about Greenstone:

  • Nonporous material
  • High resistance to heat, chemicals and staining
  • Homogenous composition – avoid the issue of delamination that can happen with plastic laminate tops.
  • Can be used in laboratory areas for schools, healthcare, hospitality and science.

Greenstone worksurfaces, sinks and accessories are available in a variety of styles which can be configured to fit any casework system and layout. In addition, Greenstone is available in all sever standard Durcon colors (black onyx, white, graphite, gray, forest green, steel blue, tan). Custom colors are also available  – will require a square footage/quantity and be subject to upcharges.
