Sheldon begins the construction process with higher grades of interior and exterior wood than those used by most of its competitors. While other companies manufacture casework using dowels and glue, Sheldon relies on an exclusive thru-bolt construction technique. Thru-bolts in four corners run through the top and bottom frames to “”lock”" the cabinet ends in place. Unlike flimsy dowels that can break or loosen under stress, thru-bolt construction is able to withstand years of wear and tear.
Sheldon casework also features solid-lumber top and bottom framing – another detail most manufacturers skip. The result is a stronger, sturdier cabinet that’s built to last.
